TULSA, OK - The Cherokee Nation will be hosting special health training for public
school administrators and officials from Tuesday, July 28 through Friday,
July 30, at the Doubletree Hotel at Warren Place in Tulsa.
The Tools for Schools Training is for individuals who are part of Fit and Healthy School and School Wellness Committees and includes sessions on the Physical Education Curriculum Analysis Tool (PECAT), the Health Education Curriculum Analysis Tool (HECAT) and the School Health Index (SHI). Trainings will be conducted by trainers from the Division of Adolescent and School Health of the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention. The keynote speaker will be Pat Cooper, CEO of the Early Childhood and Family Learning Foundation in New Orleans, La. There is no registration fee to attend and the first 25 teams to register will receive free lodging and meals for the event.
