TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma - The Cherokee Nation plans to continue providing
communities with disaster related assistance throughout the weekend.
During the past few days, Cherokee Nation Emergency Management has
worked to provide assistance to communities hardest hit. On Friday,
several crews worked clearing roads and delivering water, cots, blankets,
food and other assistance in several counties. CNEM will continue taking
calls at its Emergency Operations Center throughout the weekend. If you
have a non-medical emergency need, call the center, phone: 918-453-5212.
As always if you have a medical emergency please call 911. To supplement
the services offered at Red Cross emergency shelters, Cherokee Nation
Emergency Management has set up several locations to provide a hot
shower to residents without power. Cherokee Casinos donated more than
2,000 bars of soap and 2,000 bottles of shampoo.

Adair County
* Maryetta School, 100 Maryetta Rd in the gymnasium
Shelters Open:
There continues to be several power outages throughout multiple counties
in northeastern Oklahoma. Cherokee Nation Emergency Management urges
all citizens and employees to use caution if they encounter downed trees
and power lines. Also, please use sound judgment when faced with cold
temperatures if you lose power. If you need a shelter call 918-453-5212.

* Tahlequah: First United Methodist Church, 300 W. Delaware
* Cookson: Tenkiller Area Community Organization, South 540 Rd and Cookson Rd.
* Stilwell: First Baptist Church, 801 W. Hickory
