"Picher, Oklahoma" Picher, Oklahoma - The Cherokee Nation assisted the victims of the tornado in Picher by providing water, food and other needed supplies. The tribe worked with area officials as well as the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army in delivering the supplies to residents whose homes were destroyed by the storm.
