Cherokees Providing Free Flu Shots

CLAREMORE, Oklahoma - The Cherokee Nation will be providing free flu vaccinations in various communities throughout the tribe’s jurisdiction in October and November. The immunizations are in partnership with the Public Health Nursing Department at Claremore Indian Hospital as part of an ongoing effort to promote healthy communities. Immunizations will be provided at no cost to Native Americans and their household members over 18 years of age.

Vaccinations will be provided October 18 at the Cherokee Nation Donated Food Site located at the Claremore Expo Center in Claremore from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., October 19 at the Senior Citizen's Center in Chelsea from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., October 30 at the Housing Authority of the Delaware Tribe in Chelsea from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., November 1 at the Senior Citizen's Center in Skiatook from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., November 9 at the Cherokee Nation Tribal Services in Catoosa from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., and November 27 at the Senior Citizen's Center in Oologah from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.
