TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA - The Sequoyah girls basketball team has survived
another day in the Oklahoma Class 3A State Tournament earning a spot in
the championship finals. In their toughest game of the year, the Lady
Indians managed to beat the Bethel Lady Wildcats 44 to 36.
The Lady Indians entered the tournament as the number one seed with an undefeated regular season and hopes for their third gold ball. The girls will play the final game tomorrow, Saturday, March 10 at 10:45 a.m. in the State Fair Arena. The boys’ basketball team will play tonight, Friday at 6 p.m. in the State Fair Arena against Kingfisher. All games are broadcast live on 101.2 FM KEOK in English and 1350 AM in Cherokee and by way of the Cherokee Nation's live events web path. |
