TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma – Cherokee Nation Deputy Principal Chief Joe Grayson, Jr. was recently re-elected to another term as the Eastern Oklahoma area vice-president for the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI).

Grayson was chosen as one of 12 area vice-presidents for the organization during the group’s annual convention held recently in Denver. He will be serving his second two-year term on the NCAI Board of Directors.

As the Eastern Oklahoma area vice-president, Grayson will represent the tribes and bands within the area, which include the Muscogee Creek Nation, Chickasaw Nation, Shawnee Tribe, Quapaw Tribe, Osage Nation, Miami Tribe, Alabama Quassarte Tribe, Delaware Tribe, the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians in Oklahoma, and the Cherokee Nation.
