TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma – Cherokee Nation is currently submitting an
application to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for a
Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) grant.
A draft of the fiscal year 2008 LIHEAP application is available for public review. During this review process, the public is encouraged to submit either written or verbal comments regarding the developing of the final draft of the Cherokee Nation’s LIHEAP plan. Copies of the draft plan will be available at the Family Assistance Department at the Cherokee Nation Tribal Complex in Tahlequah and at all tribal field offices. Comments will be accepted August 23 and 24, 2007. If you are unable to view the application at one of the tribal offices, you may request information about the plan by calling 918-453-5327 or 918-453-5346. Comments will be accepted over the phone. |
