TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA – Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission Director Jamie Hummingbird was recently elected to serve as Chairman to the National Tribal Gaming Commissioners/Regulators (NTGC/R). The purpose of the NTGC/R is to promote cooperative relationships among the commissioners and regulators of Tribal gaming enterprises, promote ideas and information which foster regulatory standards and enforcement that lead to consistent methods of operations among members, promote educational seminars, and act as a gaming advisory group to Tribal gaming organizations. According to Cherokee Nation Gaming Commissioner Chairman Dennis Springwater, Hummingbird’s election to the NTGC/R is a great honor. “We at the Gaming Commission are very proud of Jamie,” said Springwater. “We support his continued success with this prestigious election.”
