CATOOSA, OKLAHOMA – The Cherokee Nation's Mobile Learning Unit will be on the road again in the upcoming weeks with the class "Help! I’ve Never Used a Computer." Classes will be offered in Catoosa Tuesday, November 29 until Friday, December 2, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Cherokee Nation Career Services office, located at 101 Denbo Street in Catoosa. Classes will also be offered in Pryor beginning Tuesday, December 6 until Friday, December 9, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Cherokee Heights in Pryor.
The Cherokee Nation’s Mobile Learning Unit will be bringing the course "Help! I’ve Never Used a Computer" to Catoosa November 29, through December 2 and to Pryor December 6 through December 9, 2005. ![]()
Those wishing to participate can sign up in Catoosa on Monday, November 28, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and in Pryor on Monday, December 5, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Mobile Learning Unit.
The Cherokee Nation Mobile Learning Unit is a mobile classroom equipped with wireless laptop computers and coordinating work stations. The unit offers classes in basic computer skills, basic software training, drug awareness and prevention, and Cherokee language and culture.
Classes are available to Native American tribal members and other citizens who need assistance with basic computer skills. For more information on the classes, contact Wauneta Sanders, phone: 989-456-5000 (ext.5328).
