TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA - The Cherokee Nation will host their monthly parent training and meeting Thursday, February 26 at 5:30 p.m. in the Cherokee Nation Parent Center. The topic of this month’s meeting is children’s biting behaviors and will include a video presentation and a question and answer session.

Students will also provide entertainment for the evening with a presentation on Mardi Gras.

"There will be a short history of Mardi Gras by the Waya II Early Head Start staff and students", said Norma Harvey, public education coordinator for the Cherokee Nation. "Brenda Podtberg, a cook for the (Cherokee Nation) Children’s Village, will cook up a sample of Creole cuisine."

The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Cherokee Nation will provide childcare and door prizes.
