Tahlequah, OK - Students wishing to learn about Cherokee culture, traditional arts and Cherokee games had better hurry to sign up for the Cherokee Summer Cultural Day Camp offered at the Cherokee Heritage Center. This enriching camp is filling up fast and space is limited.
The camp, held from 8 a.m. to noon daily, will take place on June 24-28 for children 8 to 12 years of age. The cost is $30 per student and includes all supplies, morning snack and a lunch served to campers and parents on the last day of camp.
Scholarships are available for children who are Cherokee tribal members from single family households. Camp counselors will be provided through the Summer Youth Enrichment Program of the Eastern Workforce Development Program/Department of Labor.
