TAHLEQUAH, OK - The Cherokee Nation will host an agricultural outreach meeting for Cherokee farmers and ranchers in the Nowata area on Tuesday, August 27, at 6:30 p.m. in the Nowata County Fair Building.

This will cover information on services available to farmers from the Cherokee Nation Agriculture office, Farm Service Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service, and the Oklahoma State University Extension Service. An informational meeting of this type will be held in each of the fourteen counties of the Cherokee Nation jurisdictional area over the next year.

All Cherokee tribal members who are involved in the farming and ranching business are invited to attend. Please reserve your spot at the meeting by contacting one of the following offices by August 22. Reservations are required because the Cherokee Nation is serving a meal and needs an exact count on the quantity to order.
